Noble Falls | Euan + Danny

June 23, 2021

Planning a photoshoot at Noble Falls? Noble Falls is a truly stunning location for any kind of photoshoot.

The falls are located only 45 km east of Perth, Western Australia and are insanely beautiful.

After a few minutes’ walk from the car park, you can find yourself surrounded by nature.

The narrow path meanders next to the waterfalls and then follows the Swan river, guiding the visitor through its natural beauty.

If you are a photographer like me, you might be wondering if this is the right location for your photo shoot. After doing a photoshoot at Noble Falls for the first time, I completely fell in love with this location. But if you want to know more about it, don’t just trust my words.

The Location

The location is really easy to reach by car, and there are plenty of car parks for everyone.

I have been here a few times before my first shooting, and I have always had a great time.

Sometimes the area might get a bit busy, especially during the weekends. But most of the people will stop close to the car park, where the waterfalls are.

And if you keep walking down the path, after a few minutes you will realise you are kind of on your own.

The area is so lush, with plenty of plants and beautiful trees.

For a photographer like me, which enjoys shooting candid moments in natural environments, this is truly heaven.

Truth must be said tho: if you visit the place during summer, you might get disappointed. The water level is really low, and the landscape becomes quite harsh and dry.

So keep that in mind if you are planning a photoshoot here!

The photoshoot at Noble Falls

Danny and Euan are a beautiful couple that met in Perth a few years ago.

I already knew Danny because we studied photography together at North Metro TAFE. Perhaps this made the shooting a little bit easier for them, and me as well. Nonetheless, I approached the shooting as if I had not met the couple before.

As I like doing with every client, I spent a few minutes having a chat with them about what’s going on in their lives. Then, I explained how I was thinking to approach the shooting.

I usually like to warm my couples up with a few fun games, so they can start getting used to being in front of the camera.

After a few games and quite a lot of laughs, we then moved close to the river for more intimate, romantic poses. Danny and Euan were really cute together and extremely easygoing.

With couples like this, you can see the love in their eyes when they look at each other. A couple deeply in love equals means an easier job for the photographer! Happy days for me of course.

Once the sun was about to set, we then moved to another location. But that deserves its blog post.

My opinion

In my opinion, this area is a must-see for every photographer.

This location is perfect for any kind of shooting: weddings, engagements, elopements, family portraits and so on. I still think I should wake up super early and go there again to get a few landscape shots.

Even if you are shooting during the weekend, just walking 10 minutes from the car park will give you all the privacy you need. The only thing you need to consider tho is that the area gets dark a bit earlier than sunset.

This is because there are so many trees around that create a lot of shade. So if you haven’t been here yet, give Noble Falls a chance. I trust you won’t get disappointed.
