Wanneroo Pines is a stunning location hidden in the northern suburbs of the city of Perth, Western Australia.
This little forest offers incredible scenarios which you would not expect to find in the heart of a city like Perth.
Whether you are looking for a location for a photoshoot or just a spot for a lovely picnic with your family, this place surely won’t disappoint you.
Wanneroo Pines
It’s easy to miss this little gem while driving on the busy Wanneroo Rd.
I didn’t know about Wanneroo Pines until I saw some images on social media! You can access the area by parking your car on the street in front of Ashley Rd.
There is a gate at the entrance which doesn’t allow cars inside the forest, but it’s always open for pedestrians.
So this place is also great for a simple run or a bike ride if you live in the area.
Once I passed the gates, I realised the situation was a bit unreal. I just drove on a very busy highway, and now I am here chilling among the trees? This is awesome! The trees are tall and beautiful, and there is no noise coming from the adjacent road.
A perfect place for some quietness-seeker like me! A few other people were roaming around while we were there, but the place is pretty big and it’s easy to be on your own if you want to.
The photoshoot
My good friend Deepen from Deepains Momentography and I went to the Wanneroo Pines for a photoshoot with our friends Callum and Natalie.
Callum and Natalie got married a year or so before, but unfortunately, their photographer had an emergency on their wedding day.
Despite sending a replacement, their wedding photos didn’t turn out exactly the way they wanted. When they told me, I offered to reshoot their wedding photos at Wanneroo Pines.
What a perfect coincidence!
Callum and Natalie looked absolutely stunning in their wedding clothes. Their classic and elegant clothes created an interesting contrast with the wild and lush forest around us.
To make the day even better, we were gifted with a beautiful sunset that shone warm light behind us through the trees. So blessed!
